Wordle Unlimited is a word puzzle game where you guess a hidden 5-letter word in 6 attempts or fewer. Unlike the original Wordle — which limits you to one puzzle per day — this version lets you play an endless number of games back to back, any time you want. You will also see it called unlimited Wordle or infinite Wordle — it is the same game.
Each time you submit a guess, the game gives you color-coded feedback. Green tiles mean the letter is correct and in the right position. Yellow tiles mean the letter exists in the word but belongs elsewhere. Gray tiles mean the letter isn't in the word at all. Using this feedback, you narrow down possibilities until you crack the code.
WordlyPlay takes the idea further by adding multiplayer battles, a daily challenge, timer mode, leaderboards, and a gem-based power-up system. It's not just unlimited — it's the most feature-rich Wordle experience available online.
Playing is simple but mastering it takes strategy. Here's how it works:
After solving (or losing), you can immediately start a new game. There is no cooldown, no waiting period, and no limit on how many puzzles you can play.
Your opening word should contain common vowels and consonants. Strong starters include STARE, RAISE, AUDIO, and CRANE. These words test the most frequently used letters and give you maximum information on your first guess.
After your first guess, focus on using new letters you haven't tried. If you know certain letters are gray, never reuse them. The on-screen keyboard highlights which letters are confirmed, possible, or eliminated.
A yellow tile tells you a letter is in the word but not in that spot. On your next guess, move that letter to a different position. Two yellow tiles of the same letter means it appears more than once in the target word.
WordlyPlay offers Hints (reveal if a letter is in the word for 1 gem), Reveal (show a correct letter in its position for 2 gems), and Extra Row (add a 7th guess for 3 gems). Save these for critical moments when you're stuck.
Many 5-letter English words follow patterns: consonant clusters like "TH", "SH", "CH" at the start; endings like "-IGHT", "-TION", "-OUND". Recognizing these patterns accelerates your solving speed.
Expert players use a fixed two-word opening to test 10 unique letters. Top combinations include:
After two guesses you know the status of 10 letters — usually enough to solve by guess 3 or 4.
The most common letters in 5-letter English words, ranked: E, A, R, O, T, L, I, S, N, C. Prioritize these in early guesses. Letters like X, Z, Q, J appear rarely and should only be guessed with strong evidence.
Certain letters favor certain positions: S is most common in position 1, A and O favor positions 2-3, E is extremely common in position 5. Use this when you know a letter is in the word but not where.
In Hard mode, every revealed clue must be used in subsequent guesses. This eliminates exploratory guesses but forces precision. Start with high-frequency letters and build outward from confirmed green positions.

Uses common everyday words that most English speakers know. Perfect for beginners, younger players, and ESL learners. Words like HOUSE, PLANT, SMILE, and BEACH appear frequently. Average solve rate on Easy is around 95% in 4 guesses or fewer.
Matches the original Wordle difficulty with standard English vocabulary. You'll encounter words like CRANE, KNELT, QUIRK, and PROWL. This is where most regular players spend their time. Average solve rate is around 85%.
Features challenging, less common words that test your full vocabulary. Words like FJORD, NYMPH, CYNIC, and DROIT appear. Hard mode is designed for experienced players who find Medium too predictable. Average solve rate drops to around 65%.
The progression from Easy → Medium → Hard provides a natural skill development path. Master each level before moving up.

WordlyPlay has the three settings Wordle players ask for most. Open the ⚙ menu above the board to switch Hard Mode and Colorblind mode on. Your choice is remembered on that device for next time.
In Hard Mode, every guess has to use the hints you have already found. A green letter must stay in the same spot, and a yellow letter must appear somewhere in your next guess. If a guess breaks the rule, the game tells you why, for example 2nd letter must be R or Guess must contain A, and you can try again without losing a row.
Turn it on before you start a word. A game you solve in Hard Mode is marked with a * when you share your result, just like the original. Hard Mode is a rule about how you guess, not about the words, so it works with every difficulty level: Easy, Medium and Hard still set the word length.
Colorblind mode swaps green and yellow for orange and blue, two colors that stay easy to tell apart for most types of color blindness. Each tile also gets a small shape: a bar under a letter in the right spot and a dot on a letter that is in the word but in the wrong spot. You never have to rely on color alone, and the keyboard follows the same colors.
Switch between light and dark with the theme button in the header. On a phone, it sits in the menu. Dark mode is easier on the eyes at night and in dim rooms.
